Move a Scanned Image from One Voter to Another

Occasionally a worker indexing a batch of scanned images might index an image to the wrong voter, or the consolidation of duplicate records might result in an incorrectly indexed image. When this happens, you can easily reindex the record to the correct voter without having to delete and rescan/reindex the image.

  1. Go to VOTER REGISTRATION > Voter Maintenance and access the record with the image.
  2. On the Comms tab, double-click the communications item with the incorrectly indexed image.
    Tip: Rows on the Comms tab with attached images are highlighted blue.
  3. On the Voter Communication dialog, click Move Image.
  4. On the Find a Voter dialog, search for the voter that the image should be moved to from the available search fields on the Search By Name, Local Search by Address, and FVRS General Search tabs.
  5. On the Move Voter Communication dialog, the two voters are listed. The Source Voter is the record currently holding the image. The Destination Voter is the record to which the image should be reindexed.
  6. Click Move to reindex the image to the destination voter. The image and its associated communication record will be moved to the destination voter.
  7. Click Close.
Note:  The old image file will remain on FVRS, associated with the incorrect voter.
